For the past several years I have taken a strong interest in offering hands-on animation workshops for kids. This page is a showcase for some of the various projects I've led or been involved with. If you would like to invite me to your school, church or community event to present an animation workshop, please feel free to contact me!

Here are a series of amazing short films made by kids at Cedar Park Church's annual Imagine That Summer Arts Camp, each with their own stories, sets, characters, voices & animation.

In 2008, I founded the Breath of Life Animation Festival, a free one-day event for children, held annually for 4 years at Cedar Park Church in Delta, BC.  The festival's mission was to celebrate the art of animation through screenings, workshops, fun and fellowship for the community.

Here is a video sneak-peek at the 2011 festival:

Through a series of rotating half-hour workshops, kids explored techniques such as pixilation, clay animation, flipbooks, and cartoon drawing, followed by a screening of classic animated short films and the reward of seeing their own animated efforts from the day on the big screen! Snack stations, animation demos, 16mm cartoon projections and free trade arts & crafts sold by Ten Thousand Villages round out the afternoon for an exciting event.
